On Monday, I joined 50+ other photographers from the DE, MD, PA area and did a Photog Shootout in Newark, Delaware. Despite the 104 degree heat index and being the hottest day of the summer so far, it was a great time! And major props to the models who stuck with it and looked stunning despite feeling like they were melting. It was such a great time to meet other photographers in the area and network and talk "shop" and share ideas and techniques and I look forward to doing it again! Hopefully on a cooler day though

Here's a gallery wrap that I have hanging in McKenna's nursery of a photo that I took 2 summers ago. Not the best product shot, but it's the best I could grab while trying to get the kiddo down for a nap!
This past Saturday, I had the great opportunity to tag along with Erin Farrell for a wedding in Philadelphia. What a great day! The weather was perfect and not overly hot, the bride and groom and bridal party were stunning, and the reception was, well, a definite party. (those who were there are probably laughing right now reading this, because "Party" is an understatement!) I don't think I've ever witnessed 250+ guests bouncing up and down on a dance floor all at the same time during a reception, from start to finish. It was a blast! I was also thrilled to have finally met Carina from Remember This Day Events, who did a fantastic job. Make sure you click over to Erin's blog and check out her photos!
The Bride and her siblings - Beautiful family!
Erin, thank you for letting me tag along for the day!
I just saw this posted on Kolo's blog and it's a fantastic idea!
Using the Kolo paper albums and scrapbooks, decorate the cover with the table number for your reception tables and then have guests write on the inside! I believe I've found Kolo albums at Joann's Fabric & Crafts stores in the past. But shop around and you can find them of all sizes and prices!
There are many many times when I blog about a session and its nearly impossible to narrow it down to the top few favorites. This one is no exception!
On Monday I met with Darsi, Mike, and Little M to do a family session before they move to Kansas for military assignment. We met Darsi & Mike during our birthing classes, as our little ones were born around the same time. So it was great to get together before they leave and let our little girls play for a bit! And check out those eyes on Little M...Amazing!!
Mike & Darsi, good luck with your move and THANK YOU for all that you do for our country!! We'll miss you!
Saturday I did a mini session with Alyson and her boys. This is one of my favorites! Little A was ready for his nap and just wasn't interested. But I love it. And I was so excited to be able to document big A's first solo, unassisted trip down the slide!
I just saw this video posted on fellow photographer Anne Ruthmann's blog and loved it so much that I had to post it here. I think everyone should watch this! SMILE!
I love black and white photos. However, lately I've really taken to color again. And every now and then, I just cannot decide between the two. This is one of those times. Which photo do you prefer?
I'm back! Now that McKenna is 4 months old and we are (hopefully) on the tail end of winter, I'm coming out of hibernation. I'm starting to get adjusted to my new and crazy life (well, okay, not really) and I'm so anxious for spring to arrive so I can grab the camera and get outdoors and introduce McKenna to nature and colorful trees and flowers. So be sure to start checking this blog again for some updates, and I have plans to add some new photos to the web gallery. And hoping that I can sneak a camera and a couple lenses into the diaper bag on a big trip we have planned next month!! In the meantime, here's a few little ones that I've captured in the past couple of months.
Baby A...he has such gorgeous eyes!
And remember little Alex when he was just born and then at 1 month? Well guess who just celebrated his first birthday!! Hard to believe he's 1 already. And such a little man...watch our girls!
And of course I can't post without including one of my baby girl
I can't believe 2008 is coming to a close! I just found this online at Boston.com and wanted to repost it. It's 2008 in Photographs. This is some truly amazing photography...
ECP is closed for the next couple of weeks! All emails and phone calls will be returned in the upcoming weeks. I appreciate your patience and cooperation...
As you've noticed, I've been pretty quiet. I'm due to give birth to our first child in just 2 weeks and have had an amazing pregnancy! But honestly, it was amazing because I decided to give my body a break this year. It was honestly the best thing I could have done for me. Although I'm truly missing all of the weddings and events and being apart of the details! Once our baby comes, I'll be sure to start posting some pics of her here for you all to see. I can't wait to introduce you!
